My luggage is always packed for the next travel destination

For just over two years, I have been traveling, taking photos, and writing blog posts here (My Lifestyle Blog | Wanderlust Encounters) about my experiences. Every step of this journey has been a source of joy and discovery, satisfying my wanderlust while encountering new people, places, and inspiration.

Readers of my blog have seen my photographs as an integral part of all of my posts. They help tell the story.

Photography has allowed me to capture the essence of the places I visit and the moments in which I live.

Writing about and photographing my wanderlust encounters helps me share my experiences with others who appreciate the beauty of the world through a lens.

If you enjoy travel, landscape, and street photography or are simply curious about the stories behind the images, I invite you to explore all of my photographs from the past two years. They are on display in my Picfair storefront (Wanderlust-Encounters - buy prints & digital downloads), where I have carefully organized them by destination and topic into small portfolios. This makes it easy for you to find photos that resonate with your interests, whether you love landscapes, cityscapes, nature, architecture, history, or cultural scenes, it's all there.

How My Travel and Street Photography Journey Began

When I started traveling two years ago, I wanted to document my experiences beyond just memories. So, I picked up a camera (Canon EOS Rebel T7/2000D) and began capturing the places I visited. At first, it was about snapping quick shots, but soon I realized photography could tell stories.

Each photo became a way to share a moment, a feeling, or a unique perspective. If interested: Best Canon Digital Cameras.

Traveling introduced me to majestic landscapes and seascapes: beautiful buildings and monuments: and diverse peoples and their cultures. From quiet villages to bustling cities, every location offered something new to capture.

I learned to observe light, composition, and timing to create images that speak to viewers.

This process deepened my appreciation for the art of photography and the world around me.

Organizing Photos by Destination and Topic

Over time, my collection grew to hundreds of images. To make it easier for others to explore, I organized the photos into two main categories:

  • Destination Locations

Here are photos grouped by the cities, countries, and areas I visited, including Pittsburgh (my hometown), Nashville, London, New York City, the Algarve in Portugal, the island of Malta, Italy, Spain, and many more. I hoped to help viewers experience the atmosphere of each location through a visual journey. Enjoy my blog posts of all of these places (My Lifestyle Blog | Wanderlust Encounters).

  • Topic Categories

These photos are sorted by the content like Architecture and Buildings; Landscapes and Nature; Street Photography; Travel Photography; Abstract Photos and Artistic Designs; Sunrise or Sunset; Engines and Machinery; Monuments and Museums; and even a category for Food Beverages and other Delicacies. This allows visitors to focus on specific interests or styles of photography.

This organization makes browsing enjoyable, intuitive, and helps you find what you are looking for. Whether you want to see all photos from a particular country or explore a theme like sunsets or architecture, you can find what you’re looking for quickly.

Behind the Scenes: Creating the Photos

Colorful sunrise in Buffalo, Wyoming
One of my favorites: Sunrise in Buffalo Wyoming

Did I mention that I L-O-V-E photography? And each photo in the collection has a story and I use most of them to illustrate my blog posts.

To get the shot I want, sometimes I have to wake up early to catch the soft morning light over a quiet lake or stream, as I did with the photo on the right. Other times, I wait patiently for the right moment when the sun hits a building just so, or when a bird lands perfectly in the frame. For the right shot in street photography, I often have to be prepared to photograph a scene or subject at a moment's notice.

Photography requires patience and an eye for detail. I often revisit locations to capture different moods or seasons.

Editing, or post-production editing, is also part of the process, where I adjust colors and contrast to bring out the best in each image without losing its natural feel. Sometimes, during the editing process, I will choose to include special effects, as I did with some of the machinery photos I took at the Marathon Factory and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee (Things to Do in Nashville? ),

How You Can Use These Photos

Each print carries a piece of the journey, making it more than just decoration.
